We got the chance to try out the Adjustable Sling by Balboa Baby. I love the well-padded shoulder strap and the super-secure ring mechanism.
If you thread the strap through the rings properly, there shouldn’t be any slipping, but as an extra fail-safe, Balboa Baby has added a safety stopper bar to keep it in place!
Victoria, at about 22 pounds, is getting a little big to wear in a sling, in my opinion, (and Balboa Baby recommends their sling for babies 8-25lbs).
Her weight pulls on my shoulder too much and ends up making it hurt after a pretty short time of putting her in, so we haven’t used it a whole lot, but I can’t wait to try it out on our newborn (we’re half-way to seeing that little munchkin now! C’mon, August!)
The Adjustable Sling by Balboa Baby® is so soft and comfortable that “slinging” your baby will feel totally natural for both of you. Designed to grow as your baby does, the Balboa Sling offers parents hands free motion and promotes bonding. The unique contoured padded strap features a sleek design, yet evenly distributes your baby’s weight. The covered elastic trim ensures your baby is safe and positioned close to you, while the deep pocket design keeps baby snug and secure, allowing you to move freely without worry.
There are several different carries you can try out with the Balboa Baby sling, but I’ve found that the best for babies of Victoria’s size, (17 months) is the hip carry.
She wasn’t too cooperative for our photo shoot…she had little cousins running around that needed following.
For bigger babies, I prefer a structured kind of carrier, but I look forward to snuggling our new little one in this beautiful, quality sling!
