Celebrating “Sweet Independence” with Hershey’s Simple Pleasures Chocolates!

by Mama Chocolate on July 19, 2012

It’s pretty evident that I have a chocolate addiction serious appreciation for chocolate of all kinds. I may be a bit of a health nut in most of the rest of my diet, (kale smoothies, anyone?) but chocolate is where I tend to ditch the self-control and splurge.

Frequently.

With the new Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates, I can splurge with a little less guilt…but still satisfy my cravings for smooth, chocolately indulgence. What’s more, with the individually-wrapped bite-sized chocolates, it’s much easier to me to control myself. The chocolate bars that I love are much too easy to munch through in one sitting before I even realize what I’m doing!

Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates have 30 percent less fat than the average leading milk chocolates, giving you “sweet independence” to enjoy your chocolate “fix” and still feel good about it.

As a dark chocolate lover, the Dark Chocolate with Chocolate Creme variety was by far my favorite. John, on the other hand was grateful to finally see some milk chocolate in our house and loved the other two varieties (and left my dark chocolate alone, yay!)

Hershey’s wants you to declare your sweet independence this summer!

Head to the Hershey’s Simple Pleasures Facebook page and sign the Declaration of “Sweet Independence”. Tell them what you’re declaring independence from and you’ll be entered for a chance at some sweet prizes…$100 gift cards and Simple Pleasures chocolates!

*Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by The Motherhood on behalf of Hershey’s and received a product sample to facilitate my review and compensation to thank me for taking the time to participate. All opinions expressed are my own.

I love that they have 30% less fat… of course that means that I will eat 30% more, but at least I won’t feel bad about it! :)

I’m totally addicted to these {&so is my kiddo}! I love how they’re just 30 calories each, and it only takes me 1 or 2 to quell the craving!

Those look very tasty, and the 30% less fat makes them even better! I love that they are individually wrapped, I have a problem with portion control when it comes to chocolate!
