Green Party Goods Cupcake Stand & Straws Review & Giveaway – 11/4

by Mama Chocolate on October 20, 2011

Our friends’ baby turned one a couple weeks ago, so when they came over to our house, I had to use this adorable zebra cupcake stand from Green Party Goods.

They’re totally into zebra and pink, (at least her mom is…not sure what the baby actually thinks about it yet. ;-)) so it was perfect.

My sister whipped out some cupcakes and my sis-in-law dolloped the frosting on and…

Ta-da!

We had a beautiful birthday centerpiece!

Pretty cute, right? Do you know what’s even more awesome? This cupcake stand is made from recycled cardboard, and it’s 100% reusable and recyclable!

Green Party Goods is your source for green party supplies, eco-friendly, non-toxic toys and gifts from recycled, biodegradable, organic, eco-friendly, forest friendly, or reusable items for any celebration.

The cupcake stand was super easy to assemble with the very clear, illustrated instructions that are included. A roll of pink grosgrain ribbon and double-sided tape were also included to finish the edges, and it was a piece of (cup)cake to apply.

The whole thing is very sturdy and I’m sure will last through several more uses!

Green Party Goods also sent me some of their Biodegradable Soy Ink Straws to review. I loved how cute they were, and that they are eco-friendly and everything, but we found that they became soggy and somewhat non-functional if left in a drink too long. (They are made from paper instead of plastic.)

They bent and got kinks in them easily, also, which made it difficult for the little ones.

For a party, their cute factor would win over for me, but for everyday use, I recommend sticking with a sturdier straw.

Green Party Goods is generously giving away another zebra party set, (identical to the one in this review) to one lucky Mama Chocolate reader!
