A Greener Way Reusable Bags Review

by Mama Chocolate on January 4, 2011

I recently discovered A Greener Way, a WAHM shop selling all sorts of reusable products… “solutions for waste-free living!”

From Jennifer, the owner of A Greener Way:

I am a stay at home mom with 2 young children and in my “spare” time this is what I do.
It all started 4 years ago when we used cloth diapers & wipes for my daughter.  Our reasons for choosing cloth were both environmental and the long term cost savings.  And it felt good, knowing that we were making a difference.   Last year we saw a documentary on plastic and the harmful effects on our environment both land and sea and it renewed a passion to reduce our non-biodegradable waste in our household.
All of the products featured on my store have been used and tested by my family in order to make a top quality product that is easy and simple to use.   I hope to introduce more products on an ongoing basis that will provide an alternative to current products on the market that promote the “use and toss” mentality.
If you have any questions or are interested in custom orders please contact me at agreenerway@hotmail.com.

Jennifer sent me two of her small (5″x 4″) reusable snack bags for my review, the Camo print and the Spring Garden print.

These fold-over bags are so cute, and just the right size for many of my needs!
Perfect for outings: animal cookies, goldfish crackers…you name it!
I just tuck them in the diaper bag and they stay closed really well.
Here’s an animated photo from the website showing how the fold-over top works.
Just like a regular, disposable sandwich bag!
The bags are have a cotton woven outer fabric with a nylon interior.
They’re very sturdy and professionally made…I suspect they will last me years. Easy to clean, too. Just shake out crumbs or wipe the inside and use again or machine wash and line dry!
There are many prints to pick from…cute, funky or pretty!
Besides the snack-size bags that I reviewed, they also have sandwich-sized bags, measuring 6″x 6.5″
Here are a few of the other clever things available from A Greener Way.
Reversible Java Sleeves – $5
Deli Wraps – 11″x 11″ – $6
Wet Bags – $11

*I received a two snack size reusable bags from A Greener Way for the purpose of this review. A Greener Way also gave away a set of reusable bags to a randomly selected entrant during a giveaway in January 2011. I received no other compensation, and the opinions expressed in this review have not been influenced in any way.
