I have been living with sub-par diaper pail liners for over a year now. There were a few “extras” I had to forego when buying my CD supplies and stash- one of those was a truly water-proof pail liner.
I’ve been making-do so far with a plain nylon laundry bag, but it’s awfully nasty taking the diapers down the stairs to the laundry area.
So, needless to say I jumped at the chance to review a PlanetWise pail liner from Kissed by the Moon!
It came wrapped in tissue paper with a pretty red velvet ribbon. A nice holiday touch I thought. There are instructions for use on the pail liner packaging, but it’s really pretty simple.
They fit most diaper pails/kitchen garbage cans (mine is a garbage can), and the elastic makes it stay in place even if you don’t have a lid to hold it on.
The PUL inside makes it so it doesn’t leak, and you can wash it with your diapers which is great so you don’t have to touch 2 or 3 day old dirty diapers when putting them in the washing machine.
The pail liner is also antimicrobial which is a great idea since you’re putting wet dirty things in it. I also like the variety of pretty colors and prints it comes in and chose dark chocolate to match my son’s room.
My only warning would be to be careful when taking the pail liner out of the washing machine… it can end up with some extra water inside it (since it’s water proof). I just took it out carefully and emptied the extra water in the empty washing machine.
Kissed by the Moon is owned by a WAHM and has frequent deals and sales which they list on Facebook (I recommend liking their Facebook page so you can see these).
They offer free shipping on purchases over $25 and have a gift registry which I think is great. I’ve had friends ask for cloth diapers for their baby shower, but each person is so different in what diapers they prefer that it’s nice to have a guide.
Kissed by the Moon is giving away another Planet Wise pail liner in the winner’s choice of print during Green Resolutions, (going on now!)
