No more tears! Knot Genie Detangling Brush Review & Giveaway

by Mama Chocolate on August 13, 2013

*Disclosure: The Knot Genie brush in the feature below was sent compliments of Knot Genie.

I am the very proud mama of three daughters with lots of hair. Long, fine, curly, and straight, we’ve got a wide variety of hair types and they all came along with a tender head.

Not only do I get to be part of the trauma that is brushing and fixing my daughters’ hair, I very distinctly remember suffering through it with my parents when I was little.

My two sisters and I loved having long hair, but we did not love getting it brushed. “Rats’ nests” regularly appeared in our hair and working them out was always a tearful, frustrating business.

The Knot Genie has almost completely eliminated the trauma from hair-brushing for us! We still have fussing and tears now and then, but it’s usually from trying to extract the teeny tiny hair ties out of their tangled, fine hair after they’ve slept on whatever ‘do they had the day before.

The Knot Genie™ Detangling Brush was created for every mom that has endured the foot stomping and screaming matches that come with brushing their child’s hair. With the Knot Genie, even the curliest, most knotted up hair practically slips through the unique bristle configuration – gently and painlessly. Try the Knot Genie on your kids (or on yourself) – you’ll be amazed by the ease of brushing, as well as how it virtually stops breakage and split ends. You’ve wished for hair brushing standoffs to end. Wish granted.

For best results, check out the Tips & Tricks page on the Knot Genie website! They have helpful tips for all kinds of hair types to make brushing hair as easy and painless as possible!

Purchase the Knot Genie brush directly from the Knot Genie website for $19.99 (or get the “Teeny” model for $14.99,) or find it on

Knot Genie is generously giving away one full-size Knot Genie brush in the winner’s choice of pink, purple or blue!

You know, I was wondering if this would be something that might work for my daughter’s hair. I love her hair long, she loves it long most of the time, but it is a tangled mess often and she hates that. Will have to try this. Thanks!!
