Making progress towards an easier move! {Organization Update!}

by Mama Chocolate on April 1, 2013

*I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Brother P-Touch and received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Life hasn’t been any less busy the past few weeks since I posted my “before” photos of the scary areas in my home, but with my Brother P-Touch labeler, I’ve managed to do a major overhaul of the master closet, and I love it. so. much.

My jumbled piles of junk up on those shelves is gone. No more digging around through clutter for something I need and getting some precariously-perched craft supply in my face. There is even extra room now! I’m thinking our linen “closet” (more of a cupboard, really) could use some relief, so some relocation is about to happen.

When I can pry my sweet little daughter’s hands off “my ‘puter!” and actually use it for its intended purposes, this labeler is changing my life.

Besides all the new, tidy tubs in my closet (I need more tubs, pronto,) I’ve used the labeler to organize what’s left of the girls toys here. We took a good 80% of their toys to a storage unit, along with a lot of other things to clear out the house a bit for showings. (I’m loving less toys and they hardly have noticed…I’m thinking a lot of those toys will never be seen again.)

I am so thankful that this came along right now in my life to motivate me to clean up things. I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface of what I want to do now, but I know, without a doubt, that I have simplified our upcoming move by what I have done already.

We have a dozen or so large, 5-gallon buckets with dry beans, wheat berries and other staples out in our shed and I recently used the labeler to mark all of them, a huge help for keeping track of it all.

In between the days where we scramble to get ready for another {so-far-fruitless} showing, I’ll be working away at more of these organizational projects. Little by little, I am making progress towards an easier move, thanks to my new  labeler!

Looks great! Good job….I love my labeler! I have labeled some metal bowls that I take to church and others homes and the labels have stayed on through the dishwasher for over a year! Keep up the good work!

Heya Mama!! I LOVE those Sterilite tubs with the green handles! I keep all my toiletries and junk organized in those little suckers under my sink in the cabinets! Way to go, girlie!

Looks great and the kids won’t miss half of what’s missing! I love my clear plastic containers. Mine aren’t labelled as nicely though. :)
