I’m in love with the beach, and have been ever since I can remember.
I’m not talking about the sun-bathing and volleyball kind of beach. We don’t have that kind.
This is the Pacific Ocean, folks. Mostly, it’s cold, wet, and windy.
But it’s the ocean and somehow, it refreshes me every time I come here.
Today we were even blessed with a rare day of amazing weather…hardly a cloud in the sky and I almost didn’t even need my hoodie.
Bearded Man and I got away for a whole week, which we’re just now getting to the middle of…we don’t have to go back home until Sunday!
(Thank you to the generous grandmas at home taking care of our kiddos!)
This has been an amazing and much-needed vacation for us.

I too think there is something refreshing about the beach regardless of the weather while you’re there…. even just when we drive up to Lake Erie and stand on the water’s edge it helps to melt the stress away. I hope you and Bearded Man enjoy your alone time!

Ah well, a cold beach is better than no beach! 
The beach is so so pretty, but I much prefer the beach in Hawaii, where it’s not freezing and I actually WANT to get in it!
