Spring Cleaning the Bathroom with Colgate #EasterSmiles #CBias

by Mama Chocolate on April 13, 2012

This week, I tackled the challenge of Spring-cleaning my bathroom!

"After" photo of the medicine cabinet! Looking nice, eh?

I have a love/hate relationship with Spring cleaning…I hate doing it, but I love the results. Getting the extra push of writing this post was just what I needed!

(I may have to do this with all the rooms in my house…)

We started by shopping at Walmart with Colgate’s #EasterSmiles selections to pick up a replacement toothbrush for Katie! Her old one was well past the recommended “expiration date” of toothbrushes, and she was ready for a new one!

Colgate had plenty of different Dora options for her to pick from and it didn’t take long to choose a nice electric one in her favorite color, pink. They had plenty of options for every kid, including Nickelodeon characters like Spongebob, (who is not allowed in our house, cause he gives Mama the creeps! LOL!)

The next day I set to work on the bathroom cupboards during the girls’ naps, (didn’t need them helping me sample cleaners and shampoo.) ;-)

I had a lot of ancient bubble baths and body sprays that I have had around since before we were married…5 years ago. I finally was emotionally ready to let those go, (I’m a pack-rat, I know.)

I even found the original bottle of ear care antiseptic from when I got my ears pierced…7 years ago?! There was about a half inch left in the bottom. What was I saving this for?! Into the trash with you!

There were more strange and miscellaneous things under the sink, including some baby shampoos and stuff that we don’t use anymore since switching to more natural options, so they went into the trash too!

Expired last year! Into the garbage! Woo hoo!

Look at all the junk that left my cupboards and went OUT of my house! This is the part I love about Spring cleaning!

We got Katie’s toothbrush switched out to her new one! She loves having the electric kind and with the combined features of Dora and pink, she is one happy little girl.

Visit Colgate on Facebook and Twitter to see the other fun options they have for you and your kids and to get tips on keeping those pearlies healthy!

I’m with you on the loathing of Spring cleaning, it always seems such a mammouth task, just got to focus on the outcome and not the process. Love the range of Colgate toothbrushes too, even the Spongebob!

I love the feeling you get from a clean house after spring cleaning, but yeah.. I agree it’s alot of work! I’m laughing at the fact that you still have the ear solution from 7 years ago.. you sound like my hubby! lol Love the pink Dora toothbrush too! :)
