As part of our Made With Love event package, “Cozy Mama & Baby,” we have Thimbledoodle!
With winter soon to be upon us it’s a good time to think about staying warm… and fashionable.
I received a Double Infinity scarf in black and white houndstooth to review from Lisa at Thimbledoodle. First of all, this came packaged nicely enough to be a gift (I took a photo but unfortunately my husband accidentally deleted it)
The fabric is super cute (I love houndstooth- I already have a pair of shoes and another regular houndstooth scarf as proof), and Thimbledoodle’s etsy page has tons of different fabric prints and types to choose from.
The scarf I reviewed is silky which means it’s not as warm as other fabrics, but it feels very nice against my skin and works well as a buffer between my wool jacket and my neck. I live in the northwest- it’s never cold for very long so I could wear it into spring since it’s not super warm. It would work well with professional type clothing as well. As I said before though, there are a lot of different fabric types to choose from so you could get a much warmer scarf if you wished.
The stitching is impeccable with no loose threads or ends (I literally couldn’t find any). You can’t see any seams when you wear it (there is a small brand tag so you can tell where the back is).
My favorite features of the infinity scarf are: 1) it’s extremely easy to put on without having to worry about tying a knot or winding it around your neck perfectly and 2) the infinity feature makes it so my scarf doesn’t “dip” into things it should not when I bend over to pick things up or change baby on the floor. (I’ve been having to take off my scarf to change my kiddo when there’s no changing table available)
My only issue would be that sometimes one loop pulls down lower than the other causing the other loop to get tight around my neck – this happens with all my scarves, and I suspect a lot of it may be due to the fact that it’s silky type fabric.
All in all: I highly recommend Thimbledoodle’s scarves especially for people like me who have to bend down a lot and who have “issues” with trying to figure out how to style a normal scarf. There are literally hundreds of items to choose from with 5 different styles- she even has a category called “Man scarves”! Lisa also offers headbands to keep you stylish in warmer weather. These scarves would make a great Christmas gift, and Thimbledoodle is offering free shipping for additional items so you could pick up 2 scarves (or more) and only pay shipping for one!
From Thimbledoodle’s etsy site:
“Any woman I meet seems to enjoy color and texture and different types of fabric. We like to look at it and we like to feel it. In fact, we like how it makes US feel… I think that is the great allure to these scarves. Infinity scarves are very trendy right now. And for a sensible amount of money – as opposed to buying a whole new outfit – you can completely change your whole look or outlook, whichever way you want to look at it! And, you can do the same for your friend! What a great gift!”
One lucky Mama Chocolate reader is going to win this lovely scarf from Thimbledoodle during the Made with Love giveaway event coming up!
Come back November 8th-13th to enter to win!
